Steampunk is a curious and fascinating future that never was, loosly based on the Victorian Era 

There are probably as many different descriptions of Steampunk as there are people who call call themselves Steampunks. In terms of my builds I see steampunk as a Victorian's imagining of the technology of the future. Modern ideas meeting traditional materials; dark wood, copper, brass and clockwork.
