ABOUT ME

Engineer, Maker, Collector, Steampunk
I'm a qualified civil engineer and my day job involves computational analysis of pressurised pipelines. Making has been a lifelong passion beginning with model railways and Airfix.
I occasionally still build kits, however my interests now mainly lie with scratchbuilt models, props, wearables and fully working art-pieces.
I learnt some model making and DIY from my dad and did a little machining at school but beyond that I am largely self taught. As a result some of the techniques you see me using in my Youtube videos may not be 'best practice' but simply techniques I have found to work for me.
I keep large stocks of parts for steampunk creations and scratchbuilding in my laboratory/workshop and can often build the majority of a piece without having to go out hunting for parts.
As a general rule I will not undertake commission builds for other people. My day job is high pressure and I do not want my hobby to be constrained by deadlines. However, I will undertake commission work for friends if they are willing to allow me creative control and do not impose strict deadlines.
